Removing a tree: DeKalb County’s rules
Outside its cities, DeKalb County counts trees per calendar year. Inside Avondale Estates, Brookhaven, Chamblee, Clarkston, Decatur, Doraville, Dunwoody, Lithonia, Stonecrest, Stone Mountain, Tucker and the DeKalb part of Atlanta, the city’s rules apply instead.
